Qualifications
I gained my Diploma in 2006, from the Central England College of Clinical Hypnosis (CECCH), and am a Licentiate of the Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (APHP).
Members of the APHP are required to keep their knowledge up to date and to attend ongoing training and professional development seminars.
I take a person-centred (client-centred) approach to therapy, which means I don’t assume that what works for one person will work just as well for another. I make every effort to understand your personal goals, feelings and beliefs, and I tailor my methods to suit your individual requirements.
The approaches I may use during your sessions include:
- Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
- Counselling
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
- Eye-Movement Desensitisation and Reprogramming (EMDR)
I do take responsibility for referring clients to other professionals (whether another hypnotherapist, a medical doctor or different type of therapist) if a client’s needs are outside of my expertise.
Besides the APHP, I am also a member of the Past Life Therapists Association, and the Hypnotherapist Register.
